Doux Normandie

Why you should be excited

Doux Normandie is a French bittersweet cider variety known for its sweet, perfumed juice, which makes a very pleasant cider.

The story of Doux Normandie

Despite its name, some say Doux Normandie originated in France’s western Loire valley, although it gained its modest fame to the north, in the prime cider regions of Brittany and – of course – Normandy.

It’s a subtle but valued contributor to classy ciders, with mild tannins in a sweet, aromatic juice.

Some say Doux Normandie’s popularity has been limited by its susceptibility to fireblight, but others claim it has good overall disease resistance and considerable vigour. Of course, both could be true.

It may never take over the world, but Doux Normandie still has lots to offer cider lovers.
